I am William E. Johnston.

I spend spare time studying late 19th c. – early-mid 20th c. European – especially German – history. I am fascinated by the emergence of Expressionist art in Germany after WWI. I am trying to understand the evolution of German society from the formation of the German nation-state – “Second German Reich” -by Bismark through to the Holocaust of Hitler.
